Professional development of teachers at a selected high school

The thesis deals with the proffessional development at a selected high school and attitude towards it, to identify possible barriers to their proffessional development and on the basis of the findings to propose measures for improvement. Attitude means their relationship to professional development. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to the issue. In the empirical part, the author uses a qualitative approach with a case study design and analyses the results of semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions. The research sample consists of 8 teachers of the selected secondary school and the headmistress of the school. Finally, the author summarizes the findings, compares her findings with other research, and lists the benefits and limitations of the work. Based on the results of the research, she submits recommendations for practice that reacts many of the barriers identified by respondents. The results of the research show that teachers develop professionally to varying degrees and consider development to be a natural part of their work. They identify barriers such as lack of time or lack of motivation from management. Management then perceives the financial burden and inappropriate timing of training events as a barrier. Identification and evaluation of educational needs of vocational subjects teachers at secondary schools of agriculture

The diploma thesis deals with the teachers educational needs of vocational subjects at secondary agricultural schools in the field of continuing professional education. The main goal of the work is to identify, characterize and evaluate these educational needs. The theoretical part of the final thesis is devoted to teachers in the world of education, introduces the further of pedagogical staff and describes the specifics of adult education. The profession of a teacher, pitfalls, pros and cons of the teaching profession is detailed here. The work does not neglect the view of education in various departments of the government and describes, in particular, specific activities implemented in the department of the Ministry of Agriculture in relation to vocational subjects teachers at secondary agricultural schools. The research part is based on the questionnaire survey method, the respondents are teachers of vocational subjects at secondary agricultural schools. The research part is supplemented by interviews with departmental agricultural organizations representatives. The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of further education of academic staff of universities with social sciences and humanities. The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a project proposal for further education in the field of pedagogical and presentation skills for academic staff of selected humanities universities. The aim of this thesis is to analyze strategic and other documents and data that are focused on distance learning in primary schools. The aim is also to describe how distance teaching took place in primary schools using digital technologies and to point out its specifics, including positives and negatives. Strategic and other documents are the basis for determining the readiness of teachers and schools for the transition to distance learning. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, schools were closed and it was necessary to move to distance learning, which was online. Schools and educators had to adapt and implement digital technologies in education in a short period of time.
